About Circle of Life
I am a certified doula through DONA International, breastfeeding counselor,
childbirth educator, Secretary of Doulas of Greater St. Louis & mother. My
experience includes attendance of two hundred or more births, with and without
medication, in the home and hospital settings and vaginal birth after cesarean as well
as waterbirth. I value personal choice and empowerment . My objective is to assist
you in honoring your labor and birth in the way that you desire.
I am committed to providing you with constant physical & emotional support.
Drawing on my experience & intuition, it is my intention to hold a space of
compassion, safety and non-judgement to truly honor your unique childbirth
experience.
Using techniques such as frequent position changes, acupressure & counter pressure,
light touch massage, heat & cold therapy, guided visualization and relaxation, music
therapy and healing touch I will assist you and your birth partner in adapting to
changes and accomplishing your intended goals for the birth of your baby.
I have experience working with parents educated in Bradley Method, Birthing From
Within, Hypnobirthing, Lamaze, private classes, hospital sponsored childbirth classes as
well as women who have chosen not to take classes.

Circle of Life Prepared Childbirth Classes
This class will provide a forum of straightforward information, open discussion and
demonstrable techniques to enhance your childbirth. In this condensed course, you
can expect to experience communications exercises, optimal fetal positioning, and
birth art. Informational discussions and experiential exercises surrounding the
parameters of birth, nutrition and herbs and aromatherapy, comfort measures,
breast-feeding preparedness and newborn procedures will also be included.
Classes are appropriate for those planning for home or hospital birth (as well as
those who are unsure). Explore the possibilities of diversifying your childbirth
experience.
Classes currently run every Wednesday from 5:45-7:15pm at the Big Bend Yoga
Center, 88 N. Gore, Webster Groves MO, 63119. Next session begins July 30.
Space is limited. Condensed version also available privately in your home.
